808 Local Hawaiian Grill

The poke here is amazing! some of the best I’ve had! I tried the Hawaiian-style tuna and the spicy mayo tuna, and both were super fresh and flavorful. They’re a bit disorganized when it comes to taking and making orders, so it can take longer than other poke spots, but honestly, it’s worth the wait for the quality of the food.

The island beef ribs are exceptional. A friend of mine out it this way... everything was good, but he made the mistake of eating the beef ribs first, which made all the other good food pale in comparison. So, the lesson is that, if you order something else, eat that first, enjoy it, then get blown away by the ribs. I can't argue against that logic.

Today I was in search for Hawaiian barbecue. I usually go to the loft but today I wanted to try something new and I found this place on yelp. Oh my God, this place was amazing. I got the Hawaiian style poke and seriously so bomb and so fresh. I also got the big beef plate with a short rib for my wife. She fell in love with his place and said we have to go every week now. This place is so good. Customer service was awesome. The ambience had surfboards old pictures seem like I was in Maui. We will definitely be back.

This place is great if you’re craving authentic Hawaiian food. I only wish they carried LauLau which I haven’t seen on the menu. People love the big bone and it’s understandable but the drinks on the fridge are very nice. Always try to make room for musubi and maybe some poke and don’t complain about the price being high.

We were looking for an interesting place for dinner and stumbled upon the 808 local Hawaiian grill. I must say that the food is fantastic and the portions are very generous. You're definitely going to want to make more than one trip here. The staff is very friendly even though they are a bit short-staffed they let you know up front so you know what to expect. Try the Hawaiian lemonades that they have on offer. You will not be disappointed. My son got the salmon and I got the barbecued Hawaiian chicken. It was delicious.

Was craving Hawaiian bbq near the area, and this did not disappoint at all!! Honestly was one of the best kalbi ribs I tried. I ordered the Pipi combo (beef). I would have to say unfortunately there is a bit of a wait (~15-20 min during lunch weekdays), but I do understand since good food takes time! I wish I could come during lunch break more often, but their poke bowls are also good!

Been wanting to try this place for a while now. It did not disappoint. Honestly it felt like I was visiting family and they had a food spot. Loco Moco looked too pretty to eat. Ribs were so tasty.

The beef ribs are fantastic . Keep this in mind. They are beef ribs, not tomahawk steaks. if your looking for quantity and not quality in terms of meat portion. The sides were very MID in my opinion. Overall I enjoyed my 4 beef ribs plate with 2 sides. The price was $15. I will definitely spend my money here again
